Wulingyuan

The national park Wulingyuan is famed, at least in China, for its giant stone pillar, or Golden Whips as they also are referred to.

Golden Whips

Everywhere steps up and down. We trodded well over 10000 steps during over stay here. They were not adapted to western foot sizes. The Chinese are as lazy as they can afford to be. So rich Chinese would hire a palanquin with two bearer that would run, well almost, up and down.

Stairway to Heaven?

The touristing Chinese never take photos of anything without at least one friend in the picture. For some odd reason they also wanted us foreigners to be in their pictures. Photo: Staffan Nilsson with HervorŐs camera.

Chinese favourite motif

Also photos with one Chinese and one Swede was popular. Here I and Staffan is being portrayed with a Chinese girl each. Oddly enough when asking them were they come from they would only answer China. Photo: Hervor Lindell.
